Growing up I was constantly immersed in music. On any given day, you’d find something playing throughout the house — from classical and jazz to modern top 40. Although if I had my way it would’ve just been a steady rotation of Eagles, KORN, Fleetwood Mac, and NWA.
Thanks to the encouragement of my pianist mother and guitarist father, I became obsessed with music’s ability to shape and color life’s biggest moments.
After experiencing John Williams and Ennio Morricone’s work in theaters, my passion grew to include a love for cinematic music.
There was no turning back after I saw Star Wars & The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. Those moments lit a fire inside me to write music that resonates as deeply for others, as the music of the greats did for me.
Today, I’m strongly influenced by the works of Ludwig Göransson, Hans Zimmer, Austin Wintory, Bear McCreary, Jason Graves, as well as many others who continue to push the boundary on where orchestral music intersects with digital synthesis. I also have a reverence for the orchestration greats like Jerry Goldsmith, John Williams, James Horner, and their ability to craft timeless melodies.
My approach to any new project is firmly rooted in intuition rather than formal theory. I always want to connect emotionally to the story being told, and then follow that feeling to guide the motifs organically. When writing I always aim to evoke wonder, tension, and excitement, by using layered textures that blend digital synths and classic orchestration into unique soundscapes.
Above all, I’m dedicated to creating an exceptional collaborative environment. My goal is not only to capture a director’s vision but to shape a tonal universe that resonates with their vision and intentions. I’m committed to working flexibly, and putting the work needed to get the project just right. I always aim to ensure the final composition feels as if it’s always belonged within the narrative.
Beyond composing, I’m inspired by storytelling in all its forms — fantasy novels, great video games, and Shonen anime like Naruto and One Piece. I aim to honor the greats I idolize by bringing the same level of care and commitment to every composition, helping each project I touch find its unique voice.
